Wayne is focused on sourcing new technology, plant and equipment, resulting in the largest wastewater fleet in the UK. Wayne has over 40 years’ industry experience.
Scott Norris
Company Secretary and Commercial Director
Scott is responsible for the commercial and legal aspects of our business.
With over 30 years of experience, Scott graduated from Manchester Business School; is a Fellow of both the Chartered Management Institute and the Institute of Leadership and Management and holds Memberships with numerous other Professional bodies.
Andy Brierley
Technical Director
Leading the team which maintains Thames Water’s wastewater network, amongst other regulated water customers, Andy oversees 1,400 wastewater professionals.
Andy is a Fellow of the Institute of Water with over 30 years’ experience.
Bruce Crompton
Director
Bruce holds overall responsibly over our specialist Rail division.
Boasting over 40 years’ experience of delivering emergency response and planned maintenance projects in the rail sector.
Simon Grubb
Chief Strategy Officer
Simon is responsible for formulating, communication and directing strategic initiatives, driving organic margin growth, accelerating M&A, back office and inter-group benefits.
With a career focused on UK infrastructure, Simon is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers.
Julie Hobbs
Director of Finance
Julie is responsible for the financial teams across Lanes Group, having integrated the finance function across the business in full, to maximise operational delivery and success.
With near 30 years’ experience, Julie leads a highly skilled team which helps drive Lanes Group’s vision.
Kevin Moon
Managing Director – Utilities and Depot Network
Kevin manages 27 individual business units. With responsibility for delivering their health and safety targets and customer expectations, whilst improving their financial performance year on year.
With near 20 years’ experience within the industry, Kevin has a financial background which lends itself to his role and associated responsibilities.
Colin MacKay
Group Business Development Director
Colin is responsible for sales at national, regional, and local level. Including central Bid, Marketing and Key Account business functions.
Colin has over 20 years’ experience within Logistics and Facilities Management, providing a solution driven approach and customer focus, for global clients.

Martin is responsible for the service delivery of our specialist Rail division and associated rail-related subsidiary UKDN.
With a career spanning 40 years, Martin’s background lies within engineering, aligning with our Rail working.
